GAH! A super late V-day artwork! I got sick for a few days and wasn’t able to finish this. Rather than leave a perfectly good work to rot, I pulled myself out of laziness to finish the inking and coloring.

Poor Bolin. Honestly, episode 5 really ticked me off for what they did to Bolin's characterization. When he saw Korra and Mako kiss, I was like, "Really? That's how you're going to have him react? THAT'S what you're going to make him do? Come on, man."

And it was right after his moment of glory too, winning the match on the tiebreaker. It was like the writers were thinking "Bolin stepping up and being a boss? Time to put an end to THAT shit"

I felt they were trying to make the serious moment funny, which they succeeded, but it only made the fandom ally with Bolin even more. He's probably the most decent person in the series and deserving of love. I hope he'll get what he deserves someday.
