I noticed the toe ring reference from "Five More Short Graybles".
Tbh, I almost cried. I really love episodes/ fan comics about Simon & Marcy's Past & Present. :D

Meanwhile, in an alternate universe, Marceline the Rockstar goes to visit her grandfather in the nursing home. The man raised her and is now going through Alzheimer's and therefore barely remembers anyone or anything, let alone himself. He only remembers a hand full of fragments, shadows really, of his wife, and his granddaughter.

Quite real though. Or perhaps instead of Alzheimers maybe Dementia.

Anyways, what I think of Simon in an alternate universe was that he became Marcy's foster father or perhaps Gunther's little sister.
