Insightful! The focus has always been about Finn losing the love of his life.
PB in sacrificing her childhood for the kingdom lost something too, the love of her life.

I mean, no one ever seems to be sympathetic toward PB in this instance. As a 13 year old, she obviously liked Finn, so there's probably a good chance she still likes him in some way as an 18 year old, but the age difference is disturbing to her. That probably brings her pain as well; she's just more of a rational and diplomatic sort of person, so she's able to hide it/deal with it a little better. She's also more mature. And she's also a freakin' ruler of the candy kingdom. She has enough on her plate. So what if she put Finn in the friend zone? That doesn't make her a bad person. Sure, maybe she's a little cold sometimes, but she also has a compassionate side. In Burning Low, she obviously cared about Finn's feelings when she thought Jake had explained why he couldn't be with FP (cause she would flippin' melt through the core of the earth!) even though Finn took it the wrong way and snapped at her. And being yelled at like that by a friend hurts, especially if you don't really understand why. But do you see her curl up into a tiny ball and sing a song about being all frozen up or hurt inside (or whatever)? No, cause she has to save her kingdom from Jake and Finn's thick-headedness.

*Sigh* Sorry for the rant, I just get really defensive about PB because she gets a lot of flack, and I get excited when I find someone else who is sympathetic. Anyway, keep up with the phenomenal work, and thanks for the reply!

I always thought, "Poor guy," when I saw this part. Well, at least it opens up an avenue for Flame Princess, probably the cutest character in the entire series.

Aww... I was kind of sad during that part of the episode. I'm not really a big fan of PB but her 13 year old self made me love her.

It's pretty sad how people change. It hurts even more when the change is gradual until it hits you one day, and your friend is unrecognizable.
If only PB stayed the soft bubbly girl from then. But that's how life is sometimes
